How are the 2nd gen extensions? If they are like the 1st gens I don't see how they add extra leverage to the tie rod? The only way you could add leverage to outer ball is by moving the knuckle mount closer or further from the wheel centerline.

He might've just gotten a bad tie rod. It wasn't treated right or was damaged upon installation or wheeling before. Time and force will break anything...or repeatedly slamming the shit out of something really fast repeatedly will too.

this...........He's calmed down some since I first wheeled with him but he beats this piss out of the truck. I've seen him sit on one obstacle and bounce it off the rev limiter for minutes until he made it up it. ......all while I watched and shook my head.

They are something like that..........but think about it. You lengthen them 5-6", they are on an angle, that increases the stress on the inner joint. No?

I think the added leverage is the width of those tires and the distance from the outer most tire lug to the tie rod mount. One of those lugs catches a ledge and somethings gonna go.

This and a combination of the increased angle on the joints themselves. But its a catch 22 build stronger steering and you'll just start toasting steering racks

go hydro steer on tons and 40's.. then you'll need a bigger motor.. and a new t-case. Now lets beef up the frame... of now you need bigger tires but you'll want bigger axles. Viscous cycle.
