But I did get a chance to work on the trail rig this evening. Finished up wiring the stereo. Sounds pretty good! I was planning to run the Polk marine amp in 2 ohm mode and have both sets of speakers run off of it, however I decided to use the built in amp on the little Kicker to drive the Rockford 6.5's.. not bad. Not the loudest but it sounds good. Everything in the stereo department works and it's all tidied up.
Started to fix my VisionX lights up front. Got the wiring put back together and they still didn't work. Hmmm.. seems that my 40 amp VatoZone relay has taken a shit. I hate relays.. both my rigs kill relays about once a year. Time to replace these lights with some LED's that I can just run off of a switch. No need for the relay. This is the 2nd relay on that rig that has taken a shit in the past 6 months.... first was the one for the fuel pump. I'll be picking up a couple spares when I go buy a replacement.
