What have you done to your ride lately?

I figure I'd be pushing it or limit the height I could lift a vehicle.

How tall is your ceiling with your lift? Anyone. I have 11' and want one, just not sure I have enough ceiling height.

11' won't do it, need 12' or go with a low post setup like I had to. I can't go all the way up with truck but cars are fine. I have a 10 3/4 ceiling in garage, shop has the big boy 10k with 2' extenstion.

not best pic but I had to cut and move two braces out side frame because extensions raised it to 13'

I bought my first lift from MTF equipment in downtown and low post from company in dallas.

So that second picture is the 10 3/4 ceiling with the lowpost? Thats not bad at all. I'd need to install a kill switch on the ceiling to keep from smashing stuff up. :) If you don't mind, what did that low post run ya? Anything special to install it?

So how long till Bendpak delivers a shiny blue lift to your house?

Shit.. I wish. I had to cut Uncle Sam a big check (fuck the IRS... I should just quit my job and collect from the man) plus the back surgery (there went my SC money). So I'm broke for a bit. But I do want one.

It was 2600 installation runs 300 , but I did it and nothing out of ordinary. Hammer drill and hand tools

Yep, I watched some guys install 8 lifts in a couple of days (they were lazy as fuck) and it's nothing more than a hammer drill, anchor bolts, concrete glue (extra insurance for the anchor bolts) and a large level.

Yeah,my first lift the big one took two old guys in there fifties an hour to do. They rolled up with it on a trailer and they slide it off lifted the post by hand ,longest part was burping hydraulics

I always wonder what happened to "that guy"... lol You going to make it to Jambo?
Jambo is on the calendar if the tow rig decides to play nice, having injector issues at the moment. Are you going Sam?

Walls are 14' and total peak is about 17'.... lift is 12'6' inches but I found some low rising ones that would fit in a 11' ceiling just won't work well with full size trucks

Frack me..

Hope you make it, always nice to see another 3rd gen. Yeah, we had so much fun the first time we went (regardless of terrible weather) it's a regular thing for our family now.

Lets see some detail pics? How does it latch?
Ill take some more pictures later today! I just built hinges out of angle iron and the left side has to hinges with 1/2inch bolts holding it in place. The right side has one hinge built the same but it has a pin that replaces the bolt with hole in the bottom that i can put a lock in and you cant get bolt cutters too :) Cost 80 in material and a day of work.

Never too late for a retractable sky-light/solar panel combo. :)

I see it already.

As much as I was pleasently suprised that ICON would send me new parts under warranty, I was a bit numb when 4 days later when I called to see about a tracking number... they told me they never shipped them. :( Was hoping to work on it Sunday so that I could imagine that I had time for a wheeling trip. :(

Also, who knows the best epoxy for the price? I am planning on doing about 25,000 sq ft of epoxy and haven't begun to look. Thanks for any imput.

Read up here... lots of opinions and whatnot. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=20

I went with Epoxy-Coat and was very happy, but I am getting a small spot thats lifting where the Tacos tires park. So I need to contact them and see about fixing it. Not sure if it was my fault or what as to why its lifting.

Honestly, I'm not happy with these concrete epoxy's. I just finished a harbor freight's floor that was around 30,000 sqft and I had issues with it coming up. The same with a repair shop and a vet clinic. All 3 of these jobs were different brands of epoxy's too. They don't live up to all of the hype IMO.
