What have you done to your ride lately?

Cleaned up a lot of wiring, greased my UCA's and vacuum med out the truck. Also. Reorganized my tool bags and cleaned out my truck.

I also think I've managed to kill my diehard platinum. Thank God for that 8 year warranty. lol

Drove the red truck to work for his maiden voyage with the tube bed. Gotta get used to not seeing a bed in the mirrors. Trips me out!

It does take some getting used to not seeing your bed. On my double cab I don't hardly see any part of the bed through the mirrors.
The crazy thing is, with all the other mods done to the truck, all anybody ever asks about is the freakin bed. You will get some looks (strange, smiles, laughs, confusion, likes, ect) with the bed.
On the flip side, its one part of the truck you don't have to worry about anymore when wheeling. By the way, I have scars on my bed from twister as well. LOL

All I can see are the 37's in the side mirrors and the top of the spare in the bed in the rear view.

and I got 2 nods and a compliment from 3 jeeps on the road

Oil, filter, tire rotate, grease zerks. Ready for 5k more. At 145k miles total now.

The trail grapplers are wearing great. Should see 40k+ from them.

Got my platinum battery replaced. Took nearly 2 hours to get a new one but it cost me nothing. :)

Then on my way home I blew the passenger side wheel bearing. Took it off tonight and ordered a new one from Toyota. I'm gonna clean out all of the toyota grease and put waterproof grease in this side. We'll see how that goes.
Since I had all of the passenger side broken down, I replaced the tie rod end and am gonna sawzall off the passenger and driver side LCA's to replace the bushings.

New UniBalls on the LCAs, new holders for the uniballs, new hardware, new shock tops, new seals for the wheels, differential and cv-axles, new custom axle on one side - a smidge longer so that the tripod won't pop out of the cup, and some new, IMO bitchin' coil bucket protection from having ICONs shock tops from failing and ripping a coil bucket (made by some CA company).

:)

Its a sealed unit. I don't believe you can put any kind of grease in it... otherwise we probably wouldn't wear them out as fast as we do and Toyota wouldn't be able to sell you so many. lol I had an idea to drill out a wheel bearing and install a zirk but never pulled the trigger.

I started to do it with an old one but the hardened race material was too much for the shitty drill bits I had at the time.

Burned off 3 of the 4 lower control arm bushings. Burned out all 4 LCA bushings and installed the new bushings. Repainted them as well.

I'll be dropping off my wheel hub assembly to a mechanics shop to be pressed in and ill pick it up tomorrow to install it.

I have to say my new front end is so tight it feels like something might break! lol

Installed some serious scratches 'cause somehow we ended up on moto trails and it wasn't pretty.

Did you surprise any motos on their trails?
Nope. But it could have happened. I felt bad then my moto buddy reminded about his son being whacked by an overly aggressive guy that had no fear for blind curves and whacked his son. I felt better then.

Spooled up my Warn synthetic line and installed my aluminum fairlead.

Quick note for anyone using 3/8 x 100' winch line on a Warn M8000. It barely fits.
