Finally got my CV's reinstalled. What a fiasco. Since I replaced inner and outer TRE's I need to go take it in and get it aligned. But I seem to have removed the slight 'clunk' in the front I felt when it hit small bumps. Inner TRE's were pretty sloppy so I suspect they were the cause. Now to install that damn sPod that has been sitting in the garage for a while.

Hmmm I probably need to replace my inners then. Wonder I that'll take care of my "clunk" lol

yeah, mine was a very slight clunk when I hit little potholes or bumps. Everything felt pretty tight but there was some play in the TRE's so thats what I went for. But once we pulled those inners they just flopped around. I wish I would have taken a better look at the rack though, its was a little bit wet on the drivers side once I pulled the boot off.. probably need to replace it in the future at some point. A new rack comes with inners, I could have saved some $$. I would have just replaced the whole thing.

It's on top of the Leer!

I actually cut all the pieces for the bedrack yesterday. Was planning to weld it up tonight but the shell popped up for sale last night on CL for $350. I offered $250 and he took it.

Yeah I feel like I got a damn good deal. It needs new lock cylinders because the guy didn't have the keys and the rear window is plexi glass but I can live with it. The carpet inside is pristine, there's not a chip or crack anywhere in the paint, and it's made specifically for a first gen Tacoma so all the lines line up perfect. I love it.

Re-torq a few bolts and lithium sprayed a few areas, going to do passenger side tomorrow trying to figure out my little bit of noise up front as well.
How do you safely remove that dust cover to the hub? I was wanting to visually check the bearings and maybe add grease there as well.

Tommy want wingy..
Looks like i will be replacing my first set of wheel bearings in the very near future on the Tacoma. Going to order the Ecgs bushing as well. Finally found the source of that annoying squeak that the truck has been making over tha past year due to a loose sway bar bracket bolt, So I just tool that fucker off.

Chisel + Hammer + Take it very slow. My dust cap was almost impossible to remove the first time I did it.

If you take a very thin flathead and wedge it in there toncreat a big enough gap to get a bigger flathead in there works like a charm. Start with a small flathead and work your way up to a bigger one.
