I just need to get the sliders off and disconnect the winch. Don McGill's body shop manager is cool with the bumpers and everything else

Ask them to box the frame in before installing it.

 I like that truck, why get rid of it?

Because maintenance. I agree with you - nicely truck for daily driving and wheeling. Seems like we have seen this movie before - guy sells nice rig for tow vehicle and trail rig, trail rig doesn't happen and tow vehicle sucks, guy gets Toyota for wheeling and daily driving again. Repeat until married.

I like it too. But between maintenance and commuting 500+ miles a week at 14mpg it's getting stupid expensive. And driving it that much has made me realize how much I miss the creature comforts of new vehicles. I've talked about SASing it and I've talked about LTing it. But the truth is I wheel very little. And dropping another $10k on SAS isn't going to give me any more time to wheel. Working 50+ hours a week and school full time is extremely time consuming and is where my priority is right now. I'd rather buy a 5th gen Runner that I don't have to worry about. If something is wrong, I can let warranty deal with it instead of trying to find time between work and school to deal with it myself. I want to start focusing more on camping and traveling than on wheeling. I'd like to see all the NPs if possible and want a vehicle I can load up with the girlfriend, buddies, gear, food, etc and head out for a week or two road trip. And it'll still be able to handle any amount of wheeling I want to do.

Gas prices are too cheap even at 14mpg,
adding $20k+ to get 5th is a lot of damn driving miles at 14mpg vs cost of new rig plus increase insurance rates, and realistic you would maybe gain 5mpg

Oh I know the gas won't make up the difference. But it's what I want and that's worth the extra money. I've pretty much accepted that I'm never going to keep a vehicle longer than a few years there's too many that I want to own and I can't own them all at once so I have to do it one at s time. It runs in my family. My dad is the same way. I actually just was at the insurance office and asked them about it. $28 a month more for a 2015 trail edition. I've got a while to think about it. Not gonna buy until March.

Does your gf know you plan to bring the buddies while camping? What happens in the woods stays in the woods. Lol

Anything you can do to improve the MPG's? Snorkel, efan, lightened pulleys...etc...

Hell at 500+ a week, I'd be getting a Prius or something if it was just for school & work.

Fixed my wheel bearing. Waiting on the crown owed brake lines. Brake pads arrived. Lines are on the way. Hope to knock those out this weekend. Damn worn out bearing looks like new.

Had some weird readings on the boost gauge today so I checked out some of the vacuum hoses when I got home. Looks like the hoses were setup per the original way. I found the latest recommended routing for the hoses and corrected it. While messing with the hoses I also found a notable hole in the boost gauge hose so it looks like I will be replacing that hose as well. All the fun of a pre-owned vehicle; right?
