I like those too. "Sad" thing is I haven't had battery problems with the Platinums and have a brand new OEM alt sitting in the back cubby.
Replacing the lca uniball bolts, inner axle seal, and CV axle boots. Time to roll to Mexico.
My OEM is fine.. it will be a spare. But I have 1500 watts of stereo and more crap than I can shake a stick at. I'm not a good stick shaker though.

Not saying it was lying. I was just assuming that was the charging voltage and not the battery's voltage. Was that the voltage of the battery with the engine off?
Ohhh ok. Gotcha. I'll need to test it. I didn't check the battery voltage with the truck off.
From alternator post to battery neutral, it was ~14.03-14.4. That's the best output I've seen from an alternator on my engine.

I have a question for you guys that repositioned your inner CV boots with a hose clamp. Did you notice any vibes? I was thinking I may want to put another one on 180 out of phase. I am sure I am over thinking it but that's not the first time I've done such a thing.

Hmmm that is a good tip. I'd like to use those clamps but I keep breaking the tool needed to clamp em. And I don't like that when they pop off, they usually fly off. I have yet to lose a hose clamp.

Well, the curse of TOR. My battery maybe batteries may be shot. Bummers. I am tempted just to buy a battery. Leave the plastic covers on it and only replace it if I can't start. Sad part is I am running the B1K course this weekend and really didn't need this. I am stripping my truck tonight to ensure I don't have a stray round or casing. That's the biggest fear I have is to have some military check point come up with a live round.

My last one came from Batteries Plus. Odyssey clone. Better warranty than the Platinums. If/when the platinum in the truck dies I'll buy another.

But if I don't, I still see this on their website. Although talking with a store, they still list it? I think if and when it fails I will work them hard to get a replacement. I think I bought it in 2011. That would mean I should get a free one, I think
