Well went wheeling on Sunday.... found out the IFS isn't as strong as initially thought....

Currently waiting on the following parts
-UCA
-LCA
-Spindle
-Wheel Bearing
-UCA through bolt
-seals, bushings, etc...

getting the parts from a take off, and the dealership, so truck is out of action right now, and I will be wrenching on Sunday

Dealership quoted me $1,800+ in parts alone for the right side, would love to do long travel or new LCA's but funds are short so its OEM parts for now.

here is the video of me trying to get out of a frozen hole.

do you know the cost of those? I hate the TC site, so hard to navigate!

Thanks for posting the video BearsFan07.

Also it looks like I can get the UCA, LCA, and spindle off a take off for $400

Those TC LCA's are ridiculously overpriced... $1500!

Wow, no thank you!

Yeah, I was not being serious when I suggested them. If they where 500-700, sure. But 1500. No thank you. Sounds like that 400 deal you got going is a super price!

Yeah, that was an "Easy" run for us, nothing overly challenging or technical. I drove out of the bush with my steering wheel at a 45 degree angle, my passenger side wheel shifted back about an inch, and the traction control light on. Thought that I had just messed up the alignment. but no such luck. both uniballs are shot (so UCA and LCA's) my spindle is bent (cast so it cant be bent back = new spindle) wheel bearing, cause they are such great quality, UCA through bolt is bent, so new 13inch bolt...

Yeah I was a little shocked. I was quoted $3K from the dealership between the $1,800+ for parts and about $1,000 for labor. So getting parts from take offs, having to pay for a new wheel bearing, and UCA through bolt, and doing the install in a buddies garage next week.

Somebody has to have a stock UCA laying around with all the guys that replace them?

well new spindle and wheel bearing will require a new seal, it will also give me something to play with to see if I can find a way to protect these wheel bearing a bit better.

You can add a zirk. But didn't you just get new wheel bearings less than 2 months ago?

There's 2 seals and an o-ring: Inner seal gets pressed onto the bearing before it goes on the hub, o-ring goes on the bearing before you bolt it to the spindle, outer seal goes on the spindle after the bearing/ hub is re-attached.

Yeah, and the kicker is that it was that wheel bearing! They say the impact that did all the other damage would have also damaged the wheel bearing. I guess that Kara for getting it covered by warranty.

Thanks, yeah I will most likely have to get all the seals before the install, but they are the cheaper parts.
