Sean - are yours pitted like mine? Looks like pits from some sort of impact almost.
This was APs solution not sure how attaches may just be pressed in there could also be threaded

Not that bad. Mine balls are smooth ( that cracks me up) but they still squeak and there are chips out of the mis-alignment spacers. They used to "pop". I think it was the chips being broken off. Now they just squeak if I don't give them a spray with some graphite lube.

Just installed the temp sensor for my transmission gage. Once I complete the install of the gages and pod I will do a write up listing fittings etc I used.

You might have to ground that sensor.
So I just got this back from TC regarding me balls
"Thank you for your inquiry with Total Chaos Fabrication Inc. The uniball that we use in our UCA’s is constructed from 4130 Chromoly and has a hard-chrome finish. If you live in an area that uses a lot of salt and other chemicals on the road the hard chrome finish can start to pit and or rust. There is an alternative uniball that uses a stainless steel ball as opposed to a chrome plated one that should hold up better under those conditions."
Wish I had known that they had stainless before I bought chrome crap. So I asked about getting some stainless balls (and some stuff to be shown later) and got this:
"I can get you handled on all of your parts, but I don’t have any of the SS uniballs in stock. I will see if the warehouse has any that I can pick up in the next couple of days."
Hopefully they last longer then (6) months when I get them. Still wondering about the cost as well. I have an wary feeling they don't have stock because they aren't selling them. Maybe another UCA manufacturer?
I bought some rubber plumbing caps today but they are to shallow to fit on top of the ball which I should of realized but I was in a rush and just looked for ID. Ill look for some deeper ones later.
Or just buy some Camburgs!![]()
I would call Kartek or Poly Performance. Then just use the same 12 pointed recessed type bolt. Camburg says that they have a patent on it and that they are suing All China but that won't keep you from installing the same set up on your truck.
