maybe its a newer nw thing they added, wonder if sams truck has got it? well if no one else has it then it very well could be that time to reroute it and push the BB up an inch. guess no ones ever had issues of over heating their trans after rerouting next to it?

Nope.. and its your t-case that would suffer not really the trans. But thats probably what you meant. Actually, if you route the exhaust properly you will really be moving the exhaust further from the t-case.

yea the 'trans'fer case, and i just looked thru your build pics and like how you brought yours back about a foot then came straight over and reconnected and you also have that heat sheild. i think i might have to stop by there and see about getting it done.

That little shield is prob a heat sink for that u joint.

its been a while since ive been under there looking but what would the u joint need a heat sink for? i would think it wouldnt be as acceptable to heat damage as the t-case would be

You bastard. I'm still looking for someone. On another note your buddy who almost killed you spotting just got the ban hammer on TW for being a DB. Guess he will be here next.....LMAO.

my only issue is the heat to the transfer case, i feel the reason they engineered the exhaust to go down and away from the transfer was to keep the heat off of it. im not sure what the extra heat will do to the overall life length of the transfer components. havent really cared enough to look to see where to route it with out hugging the transfer.

Wrap the exhaust with heat shield tape if your worried about it.
