What have you done to your ride lately?

Well after sitting on the couch, watching netflix for 7 days, I was getting stir crazy. I am def not one to sit on my ass all day, so not being to do a whole lot is making me crazy.
So I decided I could manage some small stuff. I took off my hitch and cleaned/got all of the surface rust off. It's currently drying on it's third coat of spray paint.
I then took my recovery shackle that I got from Metal Miller on discount because the plasma machine wasn't calibrated and made the hole too small for a 3/4" shackle. So I drilled that out.

Then I made the mount for my Ultra Gauge that I picked up off of Bakerla. Took me a couple of hours, and waiting for the paint to dry was annoying as that seemed to take longer than actually fabbing it up. I still need to get with BearsFan07 and do some trimming on the Lotek pillar so I can get everything to sit flush.

I mounted the Ultra Gauge to the mount using industrial strength velcro so I could take it off and on as needed. If that doesn't work then I have a backup plan. But it'll hold I'm sure. Also, my MPG and distance isn't exactly right. I still need to calibrate it and all that.

Holy smokes...this took way to long to complete with a simple angle grinder for cuts-
18 pieces per side-64 total cuts many of which are at an angle- so that 256 total cuts since with an angle grinder you have to make 4 cuts...the worse however was drilling 32 1/2 inch holes for the bolts...anywho. im happy with em--finishing the other side today.

All my tools are at home plus I don't feel like pulling a DS on the side of the road. Thank God I can surf the web on my phone while I wait.

Well I talked to ECGS (awesome group of guys). I have two options. One I can send them back my 3rd member and they will rebuild it. This is a 24 hours turn around time, not including the 3-4 days of UPS shipping each way. Second option is to buy a built 3rd from them, it gets here and I then send them back my old one. This will be the option for me. But I need to get this old 3rd out, just to be sure thats what it is. I'm 99.9% positive but I just want to be 100% before I spend $700 on an item that I anticipate getting warrantied. Hate to see it not be the root cause.
