What have you done to your ride lately?

Got my truck out of storage, getting it inspected/registered again tomorrow. Working on collecting my parts from various houses, then the fun shall begin!

Nice, welcome back.

Not including spraying off sand and mud, I washed mine once... right before I sold it

I washed it while I had it for that week, couldnt even tell afterwards...lol

Gonna hit it with the pressure washer, rotate the tires, and try again to get this damn swaybar off. If not, I'm just going to cut the fucker off.

Try to remove the 14 mm nuts on the end links (the ones that pinch the sway bar on the ends), that way you can connect/disconnect easily when you go off-road. You wont have to remove the whole thing just zip tie the end links out of the way so they don't catch your CV boot. I have done this for the past year with no problems. FYI, the nuts are locknuts so they are a PITA to get on and off, I used a cordless impact everytime.
Running the highway with no swaybar can be pretty spooky though, I wouldn't remove they swaybar completely.

It's amazing how much easier it is to get the swaybar bolts loose after you get the tire off and out of the way. They were still on there pretty damn good but I had more room to work and use a longer breakover bar.

I took mine off over the weekend and have not had any issues. You can tell its not there when taking turns but its a truck and not designed to take turns quick. Also I think with the stiffer springs up front it helps with not having the swaybar.

I took mine off 3 years ago and don't miss it. It leans in the corners but I'm not racing anyone. My only concern is that if I was to get into a wreck and it was my fault; I suppose I could be sued because I removed it. A lot of "IFs".. but potentially they could say that I removed it and it was a safety feature. Some bullshit like that.

And that right there is a very good reason to spend 150-200 a year on an umbrella policy to give you $2 million of liability coverage. :D

do you have the Silverstars or the Ultras?

Ultras last longer than the Junky Silverstars I have. I just don't want to change them because I have the heads and fogs and It will drive me crazy if they don't match

I've had my Ultras for a while now.. knock on wood they are doing good. 100% better than those shitty aftermarket HID's.. talk about junk. I was going to Katemcy and I was arriving late (after dark).. the place was SUPER PACKED! My damn headlights would switch between high beams and low beams intermittently.. and not at the same time.. each light acted individually.. so I could have one high one low and then it would switch. I looked like a complete asshole.. even more-so than usual. :) Just driving through camp flashing my highbeams at people as they sat around campfires and relaxed.

Mine burnt out all the time. They are backed by a 1yr warranty but even with that I was way too tired of having them blow out in shitty conditions. I was running their rear and front bulbs. The rears would blow out about once every 2 months. I ended up throwing the stock bulbs back in and they have been working great for about 2 years total.

Well I didn't want to mess with it before. But I had to rotate my tires today so it wasn't any extra trouble lol.

All good, I figured out that same thing and removed my front skid plate. Made it about a 15 minute job to get the sway bar off. Now it just sits on the floor in my garage and I wish I could sell it some how.
