What have you done to your ride lately?

I picked up a motor mount gusset kit that Solo Motorsports just came out with. We will install it when I pull the front diff to do the re-gear to 4.56s. I got the last 4.56 gear set that ECGS had. Even Nitro gears themselves dont have any 4.56s left. There is a 2 month back order so I was really lucky to get this one. My truck would have been 2wd for awhile and that is unsatisfactory.

OH MY!!! I wonder if Chase has mine! I maybe driving a Prius in two months!!!

When you replaced your diff after the hammers did you have a solid collar spacer installed to eliminate the crush sheve? those crush sleeves are know for failing when beaten on. Its the reason my last diff got toasted

Solid spacer equipped! :)

Nice! What size?

Had to take a double take on the other truck.. I recall when mine looked almost exactly like that.

I put all the lights back in Clyde last night and took it for a drive. I have this "thwap thwap thwap" sound coming from the front driver tire. Sounded like rubber smacking the ground or something but there isn't any lugs torn lose. It tends to go away when I hit the brakes though. Guess its time to do the big brake upgrade that is sitting in the bed of it.

DAMN! thats a great price! I need to buy a couple 285/70/17's. Discount Tire will price match, which is what I did last time I bought them, but now they have gone through the roof in price. Any chance your "hook-up" can write up a quote?

Yeah sorry - just shared the story with Squirrel -

Theres a guy that builds race buggies that gets paid in tires - the company that he is building for is a BFG retailer and apparently they can get a long deal on large lots and then they partially pay for his work in tires.

I don't have a need for them yet and I may just trade them for something else - not sure yet but I couldn't pass em up!

Oh yeah - cash only and no tax
and only 285/75/16 - that might be what their buggy uses

pretty small for a buggy
unless I'm envisioning the wrong type of vehicle

That's what I was thinkiing too but it just seems strange that everytime this guy gets paid with em they are only 285/75/16s

Well, I saw a post on TW one time where someone wanted to pass something across the US as a way to raise money for a good cause. Maybe we could revive that thread and we could get 'em to you!

Otherwise it's a good excuse to go to Utah with bald tires and then break 'em in in MOAB!!! ;)

Or maybe head out to TTORA takeover in Big Bear!!! :) It would end up paying for your gas!!!

My girlfriend used to live in Moab, she is always telling me about going "jeeping" with her dad and his club, sounds like a badass place to wheel.

I am actually thinking abut making a trip to Moab next year. So I may hit you up for some of those tires. About that time I will be needing some new ones. I would get plenty to last me a couple of years.

Hook up on 315/75-16 I'll figure out how to ship them? Need something for a DD/light wheeling tire I don't think the bias IROKs are going to be very street friendly.
