Looking for a CB antenna, need to fit it to a Cobra CB, asap.
I completely forgot I hit a low hanging tree with my magnetic Wilson and it snapped clean off of my truck, the wire and all.

Those Wilsons are one of the best!
Check out Sean's set up. With your metal bed, it would work even better! Not to blow smoke up Sean's butt, but () he typically has some of the most well though out stuff. </ass kissing>
Sean, I knew about the tuning to get the insane range out of your CB but I kind of wanted to have it by the weekend. I don't think it's gonna happen, I'll go ahead and order the adjustable Firestik and use it another day.
2 meter
I have an el cheapo you can have. Ill bring it with me on Sunday. Do you have an SWR meter to tune it?
Rob that'd be awesome... I'll get it back to you as soon as the Firestik comes in, it might help someone else in need later on, I don't have a SWR but I can get one from Fry's, I think the base version is relatively inexpensive. Sean...back in the day a bunch of us had the Wilson magnetic mount antennas and for what they were, we never any issues with them although I remember the range being very limited (maybe a quarter of a mile in the city??).

Well just installing an antenna isn't the whole deal. You need to tune it to work properly. A SWR meter is used for this. The nice thing about a Firestik Firefly and some of the regular Firesticks is that you can tune them without cutting the antenna. Make tuning easy.
You can get a Firefly for $20. I am running a 4' Firestik Firefly (flexible antenna) on a Firestik quick disconnect mount, and Firestik heavy duty spring... all on that aluminum mount. The cable is a Firestik Firering. I bought 90% of those things from WalcottCB..
