Haha, very funny. I need to pick one of those up & sit on it maybe. But I am sticking with IFS for now. By the time I either re-geard that diff to 4.30 or my rear to 4.10, and bought the kit to install it I would be looking at 2 grand to SAS. It's going to be awhile before I can cough up that kinda change. Pretty sure I have to take my wife on a cruise first.

After you SAS it you can take her cruising around town in it. :)

Thanks, I though the TO decal was perfect on the nose. I should have fixed the black paint before I put it on, but I am hoping I can get another one.

I was looking at the TRE's last night & I am not sure the heims will even work. The factory set-up is not a strait shot, the inner TRE shaft is bent to clear the pitman & idler arms. I cannot find a single perrson who has done heims on an IFS truck. I have read on pirate, yotatech, TTORA ect & have found several threads that all end up the same, with OE replacement TRE's.

Follow the link & check out the OE inner TRE, I need to find a way to make that bend before the adjuster sleeve.

Total chaos built a straight one so it has to be possible. I'm gonna look into this i'll be right back

I have investigated, and it appears as though the bend is not necessary due to the smaller diameter of the tubing. I base most of this assumption on this picture. You can clearly see that the tierod is behind the idler arm so clearance should be good throughout the entire suspension cycle. As for the pittman arm side I would assume it to be the same way.

WOOW, that TC ifs is sweet!

You can see in this pic that it doesn't miss the pitman arm by much. I wonder what size od that tubing is. Maybe I should go with the 5/8" heims to play it safe.

Damn Randy, thanks man, that is exactly what I was looking for & exactlly what my set-up is going to be except I am going to make a weld on idler brace instead of buying that expensive bolt on he used. Not sure when I am going to have the $$ to buy the rest of the stuff I need, I'm going to pick up those 33" Mud terrains this weekend & by the time I get them mounted & balanced I will prob. be out of creampuff money for a week or 2.

Hey Rob, the new Toyota Owners Mag has that article on IFS vs Solid Axle. Anyhow, the last picture shows a front shot of an 84' solid axle and a Blazeland LT modified 86'. The Blazeland is 8" wider! Its a pretty cool shot.
