Good idea, maybe I'll go all out and hit it with my air compressor and a blow gun.

Wow.... 66 pages and the majority of it is body repair, a starter that doesn't start, and bitching about UPS. Overall, this was a pretty good read. Looking forward to the next update.

WOW! first thread bump in over 2 months! I have really been slackin here. tx-shooter, next time you have a couple hours to kill here is a more complete version of the story.

As far as bitching about UPS......what can I say, I am an impatient mother fucker.

Great - another couple of hours that will cost me more than I have!

Question - is there a particular reason you went with a 1" BL vs 1.5" or 2"? Wouldn't a little more BL give you more room to smooth up the under carriage?

I did do a 2" BL. Yes the more body lift you have the flatter your belly will be. 2" really wasn't quiet enough to make mine perfectly flat but it helped tremendously and I just couldn't bring myself to do a 3" BL. You always have the option of cutting out the floor to lift the drivetrain more but I'm not ready for all of that just yet.

Ok - I was thinking you did a 1" for some reason. Anything you would of changed on Creampuff build so far?

Damn it has been awhile since I updated this thread, but I have been using and abusing the 4runner and haven't had a single NEW issue. I have been daily driving it, my Tacoma has not left the garage in almost a month. It is surprisingly streetable with the 5.29's, I can go 80mph down the highway no problem and on average have been getting just under 20 mpg. It still needs some transmission work, no 3rd gear. It needs new shift solenoids, pretty cheap and easy really I have just been lazy and have adapted to driving with out 3rd by rapping out second to lessen the bog down when it shifts to 4th. It also needs an alignment, you CANNOT let go of the wheel without ending up in a ditch, lol.

I have lots of fresh damage to report. Went night wheeling at the poison ivy farm (BVORR) and came very close to laying it over. Luckily only got a small dent in the passenger rear wheel opening.

Also same night got a new dent in the roof, ran under a low hanging brach.

My NEW Downey leaf springs are fucked. I never set the bump stops correctly and they are bent against the over loads. I never should have put the factory overloads on the new springs, what good are overloads on an off road truck besides bending the springs. It is sitting radically ass low at the moment because of the springs.

My front spring hanger has some rock damage from the last HF trip. It's going to be a bitch to get this spring out.

I picked up some different springs, they are 47" front springs from an All-Poo SAS kit. I know, I know, the shame of it! I am going to clean them up and use them until I come up with a better option for some longer springs.

I wasted a few minutes lifting my front license plate and turn signal holder. The chrome was blocking my rock lights since the body lift. I used 1/4" aluminum and it is still stronger than the POS chrome. At least there is not a huge gap and my rock lights are functional again. I really need good bumpers on this thing.

Good update Rob. Totally sucks about those Downey leafs though! As for the leafs and spring hanger issues.. I have a solution. 63" Chevy's and Sky's install kit. :)
