Holy Hell man! Is that going in your truck?
No (not yet anyway
What a day to not have my camera with me! The cross member is now flush with the cab. Now to clean up the cab and get ready for 'burn in!!'

Just make your wheel base longer and if you find your breakover in now crap then get bigger tires.Hmm.. good pics. I was thinking about doing the same thing but I'm not too thrilled about cutting the cab that much. There is not a lot of room in there now. Hmm...
So what will our wheelbase be with the link mount location? Could you have gone 2 inches back and avoided the cab cutting or is that just how it is?

This will give me a baseline of 111.5". Easily extend to 114-115.
Otherwise to get the weld in there, my baseline would have been 115.
If I was to do it again, I would just persuade the center section with a hammer.
I really will only loose about four beer cans worth of space. I'll take a picture of the inside of the cab. For now I will leave open (want to get on the trail) but plan to make two caps that will be spot welded in to seal it up.
Cool.. my goal is 110-112. But its a ways off before I link it. Maybe this winter.
What are you at now?
106.5 I believe. Its a little short for my taste.
Dam this thing has come a long way. Wondering why you didn't go ahead and 3 link the front as well? Hopefully I will get going on one of these soon. Joyce is tired of being beat up and needs to get to her designed job of being a tow/recovery vehicle. Good job all the way.
Spent some time fabbing some frame reinforcements and straightening the frame itself - NOW I NEED to burn this bitch in!!!

Looks good but doesn't look like it will do much in the way of a frame brace

This thread is therapy. Its basically all the things I wish I had time to do but don't... so I pretend its mine. LOL![]()
