Roger K here... lol

I have tested, okay that may be the wrong description - I have brutalized my truck with and without ATRAC. I have found the limits to the ATRAC. If I knew where the video was and wasn't too embarrassed to show it, I would show you my test data!!! lol

Lockers that engage and disengage quickly are by far the best. ATRAC is, IMO a great backup and will get you home.

That is all. :)

I'd agree with all of that.

Well looks like I have a bigger problem than ubolts. Seems my 5150s are going to be to short. Should be getting the leaf pack in tomorrow to make final dimension and see where every thing is going to land.

Well being has I ordered and paid for them I'm thinking no, but he did just "borrow" them till he got new shocks up front. I have no idea were they are now.

Well every thing came up short. The bolts were long enough to get about half the nut thread w no washer or bump stop. Ran to autozone but the ubolts they had seemed really cheap and thin so I'm going to run to a fastener store tomorrow and see what I can get there. Plus these leafs moved my axle about a half to an inch closer to the cab and killed my driveshaft angle. Where do you get the axle relocation blocks to move it back a little bit? I got a good felling it moved it far enough forward that im going to hit the wheel well. I already have some angle shims I'm going to throw on as well to keep potential vibs at bay. Any thing bad w running these together?
As for the shocks... looks I'll be getting some new ones if I can find some long enough that are eye to pin. They came up about an inch short

I have some relocation blocks if you need them. I got them by a non-reputable dealer (lol) but they are good. You can get them at a77 pr0. Shocks? you may want to try FOAs - great price for what you get!

Kinda hard to mess up pieces of machined aluminium, but I'll bet those fellas could figure out a way to mess it up with their special brand of engineering.

For my knowledge what is the cause of this? Is this partially due to your shackle flip?

My best guess is the leaf from front eye to the axle pin is shorter. The flip will not have affect as it only follows where the leaf extends too

I didn't realize this was common with the Dakars. Thanks.

Mine actually lined up perfect! My a77 pr0 ones on the other hand were not as precise.

Yea, Ive helped to install Dakars on two other trucks already and don't remember it being an issue. A little internet searching shows it's not just a phenomena, but varies depending on what day of the week the truck and the leaf packs were manufactured.

Dakars are an upgrade in my future and I dont care to chase down vibration issues. Im vibe free currently...
