Going back and forth between Dakars vs. All-Poo Expo springs...2.5" of lift out of the Dakars doesn't seem like enough...really don't want to give All-Poo my money though...

Get the Dakars & do the shackle flip. You'll then be able to fine-tune your height with a set of XJ shackles...

How much lift are the APs supposed to be? You could always do the Dakars with an AAL

Or you can get the extra leafs for the Dakars.

Pretty much any OME dealer can set that up?

yep, that's what I'm running and I have plenty of lift.

I'm looking for about 3.5" above stock height, and it'd be nice to see 3" with a few hundred pounds in the bed. Improved ride quality would be a welcome addition as well. As usual, not sure I can have my cake and eat it too. You getting around 3"?

FWIW, stock Toyota springs are shit. I have TSB springs with an AAL and after 2 years (truck was bought new June 09) they're shot. I almost want to make a warranty claim, but why end up with another shitty leaf pack?

They sell the extra leaf. You can put it on yourself. I have yet to hear someone complain about Dakars. You sure won't get any complaints from me. They are great!

Thatta be fine. Leaf springs are easy. Think I'll go that route then, so I can continue to give those cocksuckers in California the finger...

What length of brake lines are you using? Mine are very close to being too short and they are already 3'' over stock. I also had to move some electric wire mounts to allow for my droop, e_locker harness. I've got around 17'' from top of axle tube to bump stop mount, any idea what that number normally is? Curious to see how much over stock im gaining.

And on a further note down the road, who makes rear frame box plates for the 05+ any body out there making cnc cut plates?

I'm running 24" ss lines. Have you bent your brackets to give you more travel on the brake lines?

Jon

I will be going to the shop tomorrow. Should I bring the relocation plates or do you want me to drop 'em in the mail?
