Has alot to do with the fact that there's no bumper in the pic, and the driveway starts sloping right there so it looks alot taller.

I kinda like that look, but it's not what I'm going for.
i do too but like you said not the look i would want... i can see how the angle could play with the pic. either way looks good and it is running so that is light years from me.

Finally a pic of the bumper painted black. I don't like it that much, think I'm gonna go without for awhile.

63" chevy springs are a good / cheap option.

What do y'all think about switching the rear suspension to Leafs? It would make installing the Tacoma/ T-100 axle way easier, and would probably help with towing.

How much frame do you have behind the axle centerline to work with? It dosn't look like there is a whole hell of a lot of space for the longer leafs that will get you the better ride/articulation.

I would assume (you know what that means) that since they came factory in 1/2 ton truck that was rated to tow 7K pounds that they would be good for towing. Only down side I know of with them is that they are so long that you have to weld a hanger pretty far back on the frame & depending on shackle length it can be the lowest point to hang on things.

Not a ton of frame left on the end, so the only way I'd be able to fit leafs is to do some pretty long shackles.

Might be easier to just get some stiffer OME coils.

63s would be a good swap if you had the room for them and not too expensive, get a tape measure and see what you've got to work with.

Finally figured out the stereo wiring issues buy putting the key in the ignition and using a multimeter to check all the pins in the stock wire harness. Once I figured out the 2 hot ones, I pulled the key to figured out which one was switchable.

I plan on running the iPod cable to the center console, and decided to pull it out to try modifying it for some more space. I figured out why the console has absolutely no room.

CenterConsole1.jpg

There's a freaking massive AC fan under it

I decided to make a false floor so it's less likely that the iPod gets stolen.

CenterConsole3.jpg

Used some extra acrylic I had sitting around. That stuff smells like ass when it melts.
Just have to find some felt or carpet of something to put on it.
