Ha, I normally keep some tv show season in my runner so I can watch an episode while I'm stuck in traffic. I do it most when I'm in fucking stone oak traffic and only move a few inches every 5 minutes...Drew knows what I'm talkin boot

I definitely do, but I also know all the short cuts. 281, Sontera, Stone Oak Parkway is the fastest way into that place in the evenings. There's no quick way out in the morning though.

I'm cool with that. Looks right now like I'll be the 2nd LT, but the first engine swap.

Just let a good friend borrow the 4runner till he can buy a new car. There's no real need to have it sitting in my driveway... until it's time for the swap next month anyway.

VW swap is easier on a 22R(E) and 3.4L swaps are easier on a 3.slo

So I'm going to do a 3.4L swap on this one and a diesel swap if I get a solid axel pickup with a 22R.

I'm cool with that. Looks right now like I'll be the 2nd LT, but the first engine swap.

Hopefully I'll beat you to the LT kit. Seems doubtfull that I will be able to buy anything for the Creampuff untill after our cruise next month, but then Christmas will be right around the corner. Also kicking around buying a new trailer first of next year. I guess we will have to just wait & see what happens.

not if you dont mind running the "new" harness from the donor engine.

you cant take alot off the v6 and use on the 22re. just need to get on the horse and start to build the 22re up... so hard to get the energy to start..

Cleaned out the garage so the 4runner would fit while I do some stuff to it.

Took the passenger rear window apart to figure out why it wasn't working. The last gear was broken off so the motor just keeps skipping. Gonna have to find a replacement somewhere or rig up some other way to limit travel.

Also took off the running boards.

Checked to make sure the 16" Tacoma alloy rims will fit the 4runner. Luckily they do.

Then I painted a couple small rust spots on the rear tire carrier and adjusted the latch so it stops rattling.

The 255/85/16 fits the spare tire carrier too.

When I got the 4runner, the rear passenger window didn't work, and would slide down on it's own after driving down the road for awhile. I took the door apart and pulled the mechanism out. A piece of metal on the gear set was broken off which allowed the mechanism to go too far down and then wouldn't catch to go back up. So to try and fix the issue as cheaply as possible (since I don't need it to work perfectly), I cut off one more gear tooth, inverted it, and JB welded it in between the last 2 teeth.

Gotta wait till it cures for a few hours, but it should work and let the window roll down almost all the way.

Removed the cheesy ass anchor style antenna that somone installed. I plan on filling the hole and just using a second CB antenna for AM/FM reception.

Yeah, I'll reinstall everything tomorrow. I was originally thinking of just trying to fill one of the gaps with the JB weld, but the idea of just cutting off one of the teeth and using that hit my like a ton of bricks.
