So you're saying there's a chance!
x2 I would not OC 99% of the time. When I am riding my bike the wind sometimes has made me OC to the point where I am really careful about carrying while riding. It sucks because I am more likely to need it when I am riding than when I am in my truck.

Not having to worry about shirt hiking up or imprinting is a huge benefit. Other than that, I don't see the need for open carry.

I like it that if I'm CC and it accidentally shows I'm still good. I don't want to advertise but sometimes it just happens.

Been spending a little time working on subsonic loads. All loads shot through my .300 Blackout 8.5" barrel w/ pistol gas system. Suppressor is an aluminum monocore; total length is 8". Considering other load data and no sonic crack I am pretty sure I am under 1050 fps. If the sun ever comes back out I will get them ran over a chronograph.

First - 208gr AMax on 10.5gr of Reloader 7 w/ small rifle primer Note - failed to cycle properly; will go back to 11gr of Reloader 7

Then - 230gr Lee Cast bullet on 10.5gr of Reloader 7 w/ small rifle primer Note - cycled decently; will continue to refine.

Disclaimer - yes, all required stamps for SBR and suppressor have been acquired.

Your gonna have to let me know how well your 300BO holds groups at 100yds after you fine tune your ammo.

So far it is stupid fun. I finally got the sun to work with me to let me chrono a couple loads.

The 230gr Cast Bullets with 11gr of Reloader 7 were clocked at 901fps and 998 fps. Not sure why the dispersion so I'll have to bump it up and see if it tightens up as the case fill nears full.

The 208gr AMax bullets with 10.7gr of Reloader 7 were clocked at 916 and 899 fps. I still have some room to come up to 1000 fps so I probably will come up to 11.3gr of Reloader 7 for now.

close with the speed, but more important how well it does on paper. On My brothers 300BO, he has tried everything bullets and powders it is kinda all over, he is going to get another barrel

My fellow Tx peeps, it's going to be interesting to see the first douchecanoe with a open carry holstered AR pistol in public.

Yeah, I can't say that I am super thrilled. I personally, and with responsible individuals, think it is a fine idea. We are going to have too many yahoos fucking it up for everyone though. That being said, I am going to get my chl so I can carry my hog leg lol jk

The new tube arrived yesterday. It is a 9.6" titanium tube that has internal threading on both ends identical to a mag-lite. So most of my other parts are compatible. With the end cap and thread adapter installed OAL is right at 10"... which is good because that's what I put on my Form 1

Here are all the thread adapters I have now. I won't know for certain until I use them all with the new tube, but initially I like the Preppers Discount adapters better than SD Tactical because they have more thread engagement with the muzzle. (right to left: SD Tactical Low Profile Aluminum .30, Preppers Discount .30 recessed, Preppers Discount .22 standard)

And to make all the new equipment worth it, I'll be loading some of these bad boys to be subsonic!
