Just Guns

I think it's a 2014 model. That gun is honestly probably one of the biggest piles of shit I've ever bought. Light primer strikes were the only malfunction I hadn't had in that gun until frog lube . The gun can barely get shells to clear the ejection port, I've had double feeds, and empty shells get stuck in the chamber. After about 1k rounds she's finally starting to loosen up and not suck as bad. I also had to put in a volquartsen extractor. Here is a couple pics of the factory one vs CNC machined one.

I do have an older youth 20ga 870 that has been perfect in every way. I took the butt stock off it and put a pistol grip on it. That one does bedside duty now with some buckshot. Also have a 60s model 1100 that got passed down from my grandfather, that has been perfect also.

After the shit storm of this newest 870 I'll never buy another gun made by Remington

You can literally see/feel the difference in quality when freedom group bought Remington. It sucks that they are trashing the name and ruining t reputation.

Yeah I'd skip it. Benelli Nova is one of the better pump guns

Yeah I've shot @drew02a Nova and it was pretty nice shotgun. I always recommend getting a semi-auto shotgun over a pump. You can shoot faster.

I shot a friendly skeet "competition" before this and a guy accused me of only being good because my shotgun shoots so nice. I traded him shotguns for one match and beat him with his own gun!

Yep! But the new 870's are actually a piece of garbage Also I just remembered that you have a Nova as well.

Morning Glory is not well known for the political use of common sense. There is a new range that opened up about 25 mins from my house that goes out to a mile. The problem is you have to be close to independently wealthy to shoot there and they hold matches 2-3 weekends a month.

Speaking of ranges - I need to get out. Never really had any local friends who shoot, but I can hear the trap range from my house. It's less than a mile away. You guys talking about it just reminded me to look it up. Probably total crap compared to your guys ranges, but I think I might join. Pine Valley Gun Club
