Speaking of ponds. My buddy lives on a lake in Missouri, and in his backyard he has a decent sized Koi pond. He catches bass/catfish/whatever out of the big lake. Transfers it to his Koi pond and then when he wants fresh fish he uses a net and scoops some out. He had a nice wooden sign with custom routered out lettering that reads "Death Row".![]()
A fish pond is supposedly the most cost/labor efficient means to get good protein in your diet. It's at the top of my "mod" list for my eventual camp property. First thing is planting some good nut trees because they take 20+ years to produce a good source of protein. I'd like to be able to live off the land as easily as possible by planning far ahead using permaculture methods.
