I have a lantern too. I'll bring it if you don't feel like toting too much crap across TX. We may consider just buying some bundles of firewood here too. No need to drag firewood halfway across the country.

Totally agree on the firewood lol. The lantern is just part of my truck gear that is always there so its no biggie to bring it.

Don't forget rain gear. Evening thunder showers can be expected in the colorado high country even if not forecasted.

Too small? Did you grow up or out?

But you're right, the dwr finishes wear out, even on nice gore tex jackets. The gore still keeps you dry but the outer nylon can get water logged. I've got one in that state now.

Yep, you were due for a new one.

BTW, you'll be able to run refrigerator and the playgrounds in the cruiser. It'll take some technique and a few bypasses though. Waterfall, RJ's, and Cobra you and Christa will have to play passenger/spotter/photographer/videogragher.

and your truck makes all of these trails you are talking about right greg?

Most of them...
Usually...

It's a great place for all types of rigs. It's very wide open and many trails have easy/moderate/difficult/and holy fuck, you're stupid even trying that in a buggy choices presented at all stages.

It's extremely rare to get trapped in a "trail" that you can't get out of. Even if you can't make an obstacle, you can almost always back out and do something else.

If you stay wise and stay on your game, you'll be fine. It is not a good place for testosterone charged irrational decisions. This will only cause broken parts. Hitting a sandstone ledge with some speed is a very unforgiving strategy. Most of the stuff here is buggy grade. We can only hit small portions of it in our rigs.

haha I know my cajone factor will be smaller knowing I have the super long drive there and back lol

Wise.

The glade is a place to choose the right line and listen to the spotter. A bit of a technician's place if you will. Very low speed with an appropriate bump here and there.
