I was just telling Drew yesterday that I wanted some of those bumps for my truck. Sounds like you need a forklift, they are perfect for flexing out your truck.

I lost one today pulling my spring eye back in alignment with the hole in the perch. RIP.

Truck looks good Boyd.

Thanks John.

I was lazy and decided the risk of blowing out a ratchet strap was acceptable. Now that I look back at it it wasn't my best decision. My problem was I didn't want to have to move the truck to do it.

If you want them get on the list. Dan never has them in stock due to their low price. My front just came in the mail today after waiting about 2 months. The rear he has in stock most times.

Cool, not sure if the fronts will work on my truck with out moding it.

Got my front bumpstops on last night

I wrapped the last 1" of the bump stop bolts with electrical tape so they wouldn't spin and thread in easy (tip from a forum member). Then cut off the end of the supplied allen wrench to make it easier to tighten with my ratchet wrench.

Tested out the 1 rear bumpstop today to see how it hits when stuffed and to make sure my tire doesn't rip off my fender.

Then I found this abandoned little gem with a smoldering fire about 20 yards away. Semi bald tires and a driver who can't pick a line to save his life = FAIL! Guess he spent the night in the pit then walked out lol

With a "Fox" sticker on the hood and "Redneck" sticker on his windshield I would of thought he could make it

oh and rotated my resi cause the passenger side hose was rubbing my UCA

Their worth an extra 100hp and 10" of clearance right?

Funny thing was someone scrapped in "IFS sucks" on his drivers side door. I frowned and didn't take a pic of it. They should of scraped "stupid driver with an arrow".

Oh yeah, and they act as a locker as well. He must have needed a bigger sticker.

Got a couple things done lately

Used a needle on my grease gun to shoot some Mobil 1 into my tie rod and LCA ball joint boots to keep them quite till I can replace them. Amazingly it worked. No more popcorn sounds.

Changed out the front pads - they were shot at 64k. I guess I drive like a dick cause it seems everyone else gets much more mileage out of them. Had to be the easiest brakes I have ever changed in my life. I am a huge fan of not having to remove the caliper.

Changed my oil, cleaned and lubed leafs/hangers, cleaned and lubed front shocks/uniballs.

Finally got some Hellas installed that I bought used from a member, but I still gotta wire them up. I wasn't sure if I would like them behind the grill, but after a week or so they have grown on me so when I get some time Ill have to play with some solder.

Started with 3" x 3" x 3/16" structural aluminum channel and did all my cuts with a grinder, chop saw, and dremel

I didn't want them to bounce, but at the same time I didn't want to mount them rigid so I used some 1" rubber to isolate and space out the top bar from the lower support. The bolts at both ends already have factory rubber behind them.

I think it might be time to check out the rears. My e-brake works great, but if my front look like that ill take them apart when my truck is out of commission for a couple weeks while I'm getting other mods done.

My e-brake doesn't work at all. lol I think I need to adjust the "self adjusting" cable. My rears brakes are good.. they have been replaced with drums turned and I just adjusted them again about 5k miles ago and I could tell the difference. But the e-brake is worthless.

I noticed my rad was getting chewed up by rocks a while ago and threw on some mesh, but I was in a rush and didn't do it good. Today I took my time, cleaned the bumper before taping this time, and installed them all level - unlike the last time.

Right through the where I should have a winch

Someone should recognize the mesh :shifty:

Got fed up with my exhaust rattling. I gotta think the skid should be longer and the cross-member farther back. Anyway I adjusted them they hit right at the flange.

Did some maintenance today

Marked my tires because they will be off for a while and so I don't screw up rotating them ever.

Dirty

Marked the rotors so I don't mix them up

Pretty sure these should be centered.....guess I found my shake at 75mph

Seals are a Joke

Poop

Cleaned up

The new tie rods had some green shit grease in there so I flushed it out and filled with Mobil

If I put to much in Ill just relieve some pressure as I tighten it up....then take a drive come back and relieve some more.

Cleaned and drying. Then some Lube.

Hub and spindle were welded on and took 1/2hr to get off with PB soaking the whole time

Cleaned up my UCA's

Because of my issues with their chrome balls I thought my bushing would be shot for sure, but after a good cleaning I found they had almost zero wear after 30k+

Now I just got do the LCA ball joint and wheel bearing then move over to the other side. I have a feeling my LCA bushings will be seized, but the bugs were bad tonight so I stopped. Think I might replace the CV's as well and keep the POS old ones as trail spares.

Will pay to see Cmack get tased
Looks great Boyd.

That Never Seize might wash out of those threads. I haven't had much luck using it as corrosion prevention in areas exposed to water.

Nice cleanup. It can be tough to get the spindle out of the hub on the 2nd gen Tacos. A good hit with the dead blow usually does it.

Tonight's round on the drivers side went much quicker. Nothing fought me except for the 3 out of 4 LCA bushings.

Nice work man!

Thanks. I'm staying out of the mud after this.

What do you think then? Mobil 1 synthetic? Seems to be doing a great job on my UCA's.

LCA BJ..both sides were like this. Guess they don't want you getting them out.

Spring clip pops right off

Cleaned and lubed with some deep creep to make it easier tomorrow.

Oh and spring clips blow....every time I run across them they are the #1 source of corrosion. My TC uniballs were rusted as shit at the spring clip as well.

Good whack with a BFH and the steering stop falls off

Drivers side looks much better

More shit to clean

stripped...still gotta bang off the steering stop but it was late and it can wait till tomorrow.
