Spent a visit at Krawltex today. Powder coating my sliders and gonna weld them to my truck. Gonna steer away from them due to pricing for my bumpers, plus with the little space that we have to mount a winch on the front, a tube style bumper would be much more difficult and expensive. I'll be purchasing a Relentless Front Bumper and a High Clearance Rear Bumper instead...

Got my sliders fab'd together with a slight tilt to them. Door's opened fine and now getting them painted. I'll have them on tomorrow morning! Also got my exhaust dumped so I wont have to worry about it getting pinched after the rear axle... I'll have pix of the sliders tomorrow! Here is one of the exhaust. Don't know if I want to add a turn down tip either.

Not a good idea... not at all.

I could have sworn he sent out mounting plates. Sucks he doesn't.

Krawltex did that? Hate to be a bubble buster but I would take it back and ask them where the plates are. They should look like this:

I think they just welded up the 4XInnovations sliders he had.

They are 4x sliders right? They should have come with the 4" x 4" x 1/4" thick plates. They look damn good but the way the are welded directly to the frame is bad. The frame is way to thin, you will just tear the frame.

I thought he canceled the 4x and had Krawltex build them because he was planning to get bumpers made there too.

The saving grace is that you have 4 mounting legs. Better than 3. LOL. Until it becomes a dedicated trail rig you'll be fine.. just don't intentionally drop it on the sliders or you could damage your frame.

I gave them the box with everything, He told me it might be bad to drill holes in the frame and decided to weld them...

Oh yeah, its better than bolting. I'm just surprised there wasn't a mounting plate to give a larger footprint to the slider legs.

Did you buy bolt on sliders? I didn't think 4x sold bolt on's. Did you check the contents of the box? do you know weather they where there or not. Regaurdless, if you would have asked me to help you weld them on I would have insisted you have plates, they should have known better.

He does send the plates, I know for sure he does.

Yeah, I thought so. My sliders for my 4Runner came with plates. Although I don't have any pics.
