Did you build those 6x9 enclosures? And good idea for the square driveshaft and mounting it. I'd hate to have to ratchet stap up another one in the middle of the night. :)

I did not.. bought them online for CHEAP! But they have great posts in the back and are built out of decent 3/4" MDF. I will be fiberglassing the shit out them to prevent moisture damage and it will also help in the sound department.

Yeah, I figure if I do my measurements correctly I can make one shaft to fit both front and rear. Since the thing has duals in it they DS's are similar in length.. I'll need to measure. As for ratchet strapping it up.. thats due to the pinion nut backing off... which reminds me.. I want to put a tack weld on that fucker! :)

Been thinking about how this is going to go next... I'm thinking something like this.

The side angled pieces will be leaning backwards from the middle tube... might move them forward more. It will all depend on how far out that middle tube goes and if it will interfere with my tire or not. At the top of the cab there will be two bars...one right behind the cab and then another at the bend in the downtubes. I need to do some "X" type back there so that will need to be worked in as well.

Might add a second set of side support.. I like the look of it. :)

I'm not doing much more until this thing is done... tonight I'm playing Mr Mom but I took tomorrow off so hopefully I'll get somethings done on the rig. I won't be starting on the tubing project above until I get some more DOM. I bought about 11' of it but this new design changes things up considerably and I'll need more. Plus the tubing I had planned to burn in will just get cut off once I do this.. so... I can do a few bars but nothing crazy. I need to plumb up that fuel cell and wire up the lights and stereo. Plenty to keep me out of the bars. lol

That thing is looking sweet. I like the double side support design the best. It adds something to it without cluttering it up and still keeping it "simple".

Nope.. in the process of putting the house on the market so I moved it to a storage unit. :( What sucks even more is that IF we sell this house it will take 7-9 months to build the next one so I might have it in storage for a while.

Well that sucks, miss reading this build and all the debauchery that goes along with it!

I wonder how much mall crawling you could do at that storage place? maybe drive over those dumb asses from Storage wars......

Well I hope I can get some wheeling in before long. I need to do some work on it but its wheelable as is.

Those are pretty cool. But I think I'm going 37" red labels. Just need to find a pair at a price I want to pay. I am tempted to go 39.5" IROCs though.

Where are you gonna get the red labels from? I'd like a set but can't find any in decent condition
