Just got done cleaning my jobsite tools and car real quickly. I just gloved and N95 masked up. Ended up being the vestibule for some high end condo's in some ritzy philly burb. If it was a real jobsite I would of gone in w/o anything and just cleaned my hands and tools when done. NOT going in raw while in some community center's lobby for all the condo's. Only brought the tools I needed so cleaning was minimized ~ learned a ton the past few weeks.
Boss was in the vestibule w/me coughing up a storm as I was measuring - said it was allergies....sure it is. I asked him to please wait outside. Last night I tried to get him to let me go alone - I never need help unless it's some layout of weird angles and I need to snap lines. He said I would need him to show me where everything was (no blueprints - working for the owner direct). Yea....I measured the interior vestibule and an opening 5' away. Could of easily told me that and I could of called to confirm. He just likes to take meetings so he really doesn;t need to work. He just stood there bothing me while I was measuring and trying to focus. Took me 2x as long cause he would not shut up.
I was amazed he actually brought proper PPE to the jobsite (gloves and masks + disinfectant), but didn't wear any of it of course. Also he made no appointment w/the client thus the "sneak in" and the doors were secured via motion sensor interior/fob exterior linked to a interior surface mounted maglock so I had to gain access myself via tricks of the trade.
Still got my job, but formally resigned as our companies safety officer. Handed him a letter and just e-mailed a copy to him. He took it ok and understood. I said I'd pick it back up when the dust from this settles. Not going to put a bunch of stuff in writing, but lets say I'm covering my ass for his inadequacies. The internal e-mail chains are proof enough ~ I know what to respond to retarded requests.

@ mopp level 4 - just looked it up. I'm crazy but not that crazy. No mopp level 4 suits here. I just got a few cheapo Tyvek 400 suits and saving them for my mom should it get real bad
