Actually I think it would be useful for those that don't want to pack it up every day. I have been on 2+ week trips where we packed up every morning to go out wheeling.![]()
That's why I keep to tents and hammocks. Never understood RTT's usage besides being high off the ground - I like that feature for sure, especially in bear country. Taking the time to set up and breakdown every single time you want to use the truck seems silly to me for what we do over here. We do far too many adventures from base camps that require using a vehicle to get to things vs overlanding where each night your at a different camp and once base camp is made you're good to go to bed.
If I did over landing I'd consider a RTT, but doubtful I'd change how I do things. Way to much $$, way to heavy, and way to big for a single guy who "passes out" in his camp chair 50% of the time
