If I go I am in Arlington. I would most likely leave Friday after work and stay somewhere near Amarillo.Anyone leaving from dfw area ? What day ?
I would drop black bear pass (unless you've never done it before) and add in Poughkeepsie. Black bear pass is just a tight trail with a lot of turns on it...gets kinda boring after awhileHighest roads of Colorado
I'm officially placing my vote for Imogene Pass, Black Bear Pass, Cinnamon Pass* and Engineer Pass* on the Ouray side of the trip.

BB is the zig zag trail that drops into Telluride.I haven't done any of them... At least in that area. I've done some in the Gunnison National Forest, but I'm not opposed to dropping black bear. Isn't that the iconic one that overlooks Ouray though?
That was black bear for us. Trying to come around the major bend and people walking/biking right in front of us with no concern for themselves. My wife was yelling at me to calm down because I wanted to hop out and start beating some idiots.BB is the zig zag trail that drops into Telluride.
Imogene was crowded when I went and several rent a jeeps and tour trucks of people.
Passing a dumb girl on the side of cliff that had no business taking the renta jeep up there was a little hairy.
Well you can't say all that and not post a pic of him!I don't think I'm going to make this one. My wife is going out of town and originally, I was going to come to this. Win win. But we got a puppy recently so I don't think I'll be able to jet for a week. Once he's a bit older he's absolutely coming with me to Colorado. He's going to be so freaking amped. But as of now, he's just a wee boy. Next year!
