I got all the holes plasma cut.. not to just break out a carbide burr and smooth them out a bit. But yeah, its ridiculously hot. Wife wants a pool and I will just settle with a couple ventless AC units for fraction of the cost.

I miss the pool I grew up with. We had a huge 50k gallon pool with 13' deep end and a attached Jacuzzi that fit a ton of people. Even better was having no neighbors so I had some crazy fun in high school.

Once I moved in w/my sister she had one put in at her house. When I was living with her in my early 20's it was great! Nothing beat a good ol pool party back then.

I'm way too cheap to ever have one and I have "predator free" rivers and lakes within 20 minutes I can always go to. Maybe growing up with a pool and parents that never used AC is why I never use the AC now? Whenever I'm hot - just go to someones pool or a river/lake. My brothers got a nice pool 2 streets from me and sis is 10 minutes away.

Pretty close to the same thing here; best pool or boat is a friend's pool or boat. My father-in-law has a boat on the coast I just have to go down there to use it. As for a pools I have more than a few friends with them so I do not have to go far for one.

Post a link to what you're thinking of getting? I put my new saw stand together and mounted the saw last night in my garage. I looked like I jumped in a pool once I finished, it is so damn hot in there.

Yeah, the nice thing about the new HVAC units will only run what tonnage they need to cool the space down (i.e. if the garage is at 75° and you set the temp to 73°, the unit only needs to kick on a ton to cool the space down instead of running full blast).

Picked up some very large fender washers. I figure I'll grind the area around the holes I cut in the frame and weld a big fender washer over the hole... now I have a nice round hole again.. nothing to snag wires on.
