I was also looking at the rechargeable bluetooth speakers, just leave it plugged into the trailer. I already have one of these and it has a threaded hole in the bottom so you could mount it to a 1/4 bolt anywhere on the trailer. But I am thinking of getting another one and have one for each side or put both on one side??

Ive got a small Ecoxgear one. I love that thing and it would be "keeping it simple stupid" to use one in a camp trailer. Great thing is the portability of it.

UE Megaboom is amazing. And you can sync like 60 of them together to play the same music.

wiring progress was made.. 7 pin connector and junction box are in and wired up. Wire harness (built a new one out of 12 ga wire vs the 14 ga they had with all weatherproof connectors) is ran through the tongue and to the rear section so that is next to hook up, brake away controller is wired up just need to mount the tongue plate its on back in place. With any luck I can get the rear section 80% completed this evening.

Used some Great Stuff to seal up the junction box.. might not be 100% waterproof but its better than it was.

Well... fuck. Successfully pulled all the wire through the rear portion of the frame and the only thing left was the tail lights. Needed to pull 3 wires from the passenger side through the frame to the drivers side. Shit broke in the middle. Soo... I guess I'll do something different and it actually helps to be honest. Just more work. The previous wires exited the bottom of the frame... well I am planning to add another 2x2x.188 wall tube along the bottom so I was going to have to notch that anyhow. Now I'll just have to drill holes through the sides of the rear structure to pass the wires that way. Won't be totally enclosed in steel but a good portion will and its high enough out of harms way I think it will be fine. Just means I have to drill about 12-15 holes along the way because there are several sections of square tube it has to pass through. Probably a blessing in disguise that it broke, looks like it got hung up on one of the sharp 90 degree turns and hit some sharp steel and it just sliced though it. Again, probably best since that would just wear on any sheathing and eventually fail.

Time to break out my Drill Doctor and sharpen some bits!

So what would a Stealth 10 HD Ultra run me? List is $750. Not sure I need a 300 watt trailer setup.. might piss off the neighbors? Plus the next thing you know I'll want 2 and some subs and then my battery won't keep my fridge going overnight. :)

I'm really just thinking another BT speaker for now. Plenty loud for camp, low power consumption. Now don't be surprised if in a year or so it gets upgraded to whatever.

LOL. Not enough beers consumed to cloud my judgement last night. Good thinking though... makes sense.

Anchor marine makes a trailer wire that is 10/3 tinned all cased into one wire. I use it when I re wire boat trailer lights.

Those are pretty nice but pretty much all highs. The 6 is just as good as the 10. I'll shoot you a message with the price.

I got a bunch of old metal BX electrical wire used in commercial construction. I pulled all of the wiring out of it and am planning on running the trailer wiring through it to protect it. My brothers are constantly cutting the trailer wiring when they use the trailer. I think I'm on the third set of lights for it and maybe the 4th set of temporary trailer lights.

Well the majority (90%) of the wiring on this thing will be in the frame. I'll get the holes finished up tonight and get that wire ran and connected with any luck. I called to get the form 68a from the county sheriff, required for a "homebuilt" or "kit" trailer to get a tag. My appointment is the 21 of June. So that gives me a deadline to have it a rolled with brakes and lighting. I need to paint the second sidebox yet and get it installed. Probably by the end of the week depending on weather. Supposed to be triple digits by Friday. So maybe I can get it sanded at night and get a coat of paint on it and let the sun bake it in really nice!
