Damn I am sun burnt & COVERED in poison ivy, I had a blast on the Saturday night run. Extremely grateful to Todd's cousin Brent. He knew what my transmission problem was right away & help me get it rigged to work for the weekend. After that the 4runner wheeled great all day. I have a few pics that I will post in a bit.
I keep baby wipes in the truck in case I run thru some poison ivy. You can wipe down with the wipes after being exposed to PI. It helps a bit. For me personally I have about a 3-4 hour window before PI sets in. So if I can make it to the shower I use Gojo hand cleaner to wash off with. It works wonders. The bad stuff in PI is
Urushoil oil. So you can understand why Gojo would break it down.
Don't forget to wipe down your truck too. Steering wheel, console, etc... If you have it on your arms and hands the oil will stick around in the likely places you touch in your truck and you'll be wondering why you keep getting PI.
Also, if you have it real bad.. say like on your face.. hit the doctor up for some Prednisone. It will clear it up in about 2 days.. give or take.
