You can shoot 300 win mag for cheaper than that. Finally found ammo local so I can test the upper before making a bulk ammo order. It sucks Buffalo Bore 458 SOCOM was $62 for 20 rounds. Damn pigs better appreciate it.

Him and @tex are making me want a big bore gun.
Ditto.. I have no need for one.. but looks like fun.
Academy has a deal where you buy this scope and get the cantilever mount for it for free. So they got me. This should go nicely on my 300 Blkout SBR.

Magpul pro backup sights are nice.Ordered the final bits for my new AR. Picked up a BCG, a nicer charging handle and a Vortex red dot. Found a good deal on it at Brownells. Only thing left are some flip-up BUS... I think. Then of course to wait on Santa to deliver the upper.![]()
I had one of those. The problem you'll quickly come to realize is the reticle is to thick to make precision shots. That reticle is for making fast hits on steel.Academy has a deal where you buy this scope and get the cantilever mount for it for free. So they got me. This should go nicely on my 300 Blkout SBR.

I'm looking at that scope for my 450 bushmaster.I had one of those. The problem you'll quickly come to realize is the reticle is to thick to make precision shots. That reticle is for making fast hits on steel.
Look at the 1-8x as it had a slightly better reticle or check out the scopes made by Primary Arms.I'm looking at that scope for my 450 bushmaster.

Like all LaRue mounts, it is precision-machined out of bar-stock aluminum and anodized. The locking LaRue Speed Levers provide outstanding return to zero; the optic can be removed, and replaced, without loss of zero. Guaranteed.

@tx_shooter How much was it? I was looking at the 1-8 version. Want to put it on my Sig AR.
It's hard to make it dead when the reticle covers up the neck & chest at the same timeWhich is fine. It really is not a precision setup as an SBR. It is more of a "make it dead and move on" setup.
