Wait...you planted a pine tree on purpose at your house? Those things drop sap and needles on everything. NOPE NOPE NOPEI lost one of the pine trees I planted a few years ago (I didn't water it) and possibly a small oak.

Yep and I'm gonna plant a replacement and I plan on planting more. I like pine trees, just not over my car port/house.Wait...you planted a pine tree on purpose at your house? Those things drop sap and needles on everything. NOPE NOPE NOPE

Sorry, I was just researching the mushrooms on your tree and came across that article. Didn't mean anything else by it but I should've added something like "this is a good, quick read". My bad.dude, we have had 1” total rain in 3.5 months, if the tree starts to die, other insects and pathogens attack the weak.
X1000. Fuck pine trees. Fucking trash trees.Wait...you planted a pine tree on purpose at your house? Those things drop sap and needles on everything. NOPE NOPE NOPE

The place across the road from me use to have about 2-3 acres of giant pines when I was younger. I use to jump the fence and go hang out over there all the time. When I was in high school they all died off from beetle or some other blight. Now I bet there is only 5-6 stunted one over there.I have one scrub pine tree I didn't cut down 15 years ago when I bought my house. To this day it has never grown. Must be a dwarf. I have so many leaf & nut dropping trees I'd swap out a few for pines if I could. I like seeing some green in winter.
Make sure they are pine beetle tolerant. We are losing entire swaths of forest to those f*ckers. Spots I drive to now that used to be "deep" in the woods now look like clear cut parking lots. No idea what they are going to plant in their place, but everyone's got beetle kill wood for sale.
Killed off about 10 of the new spotted lantern bugs yesterday. Those things are also going to hurt the country. I see no way to contain them so I fear in the next few years you all will know exactly what I'm talking about.
Also RIP Ash trees. They will be gone in another 20-30 years....all of them.

Finished up late last night. Just powered through and finished so I wouldn't have to go back a third day. (sorry for the terrible pics, my Lifeproof cases camera cover is all scratched up. I have a warranty case in the mail).Got a call from my brother when I got home from vacation. He had a bad water leak from his A/C line and the water sat on the floor for a couple of weeks (the house is empty and currently for sale.) Thankfully the sheetrock ceiling is fine and just needed a tiny patch. We pulled up the wet flooring, I bleached and scraped the mold off the floor and we put fans on it to dry it out. We'll install some spare flooring he has with new under-layment later this week. The floor needs to dry out completely and the laminate flooring needs 24-48 hours acclimate from being in the attic.
We also fixed the drain line issue and some other small stuff while we were in the attic to bring the house up to code.
