Today I invested three bills into keeping my sandwich maker happy. HEB has started carrying some pretty nice stainless cookware that is oven and dishwasher safe. Since my sandwich maker was using a set we purchased 9 years ago on sale I decided to get her a nice upgrade. We also bought a few extra 8"and 10" sauce pans. She is pretty happy.

Worth noting is that the pots all have markings inside them for the volume inside them at different fill lines. They really are a nice upgrade from the old stuff she was using. Also I am ordering a Hobart 190 welder next weekend and a Hobart 12ci plasma cutter. I think I mentioned it to her.

Make sure it is Pfos/Pfoa free, these are common coatings/chemicals found on some cookware

Chinas way to kill us slowly.

Well many of those chemicals were engineered and created here, thanks DuPont.

Teflon and Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA)

I think EPA has directed all DoD agencies to test all water wells within 20miles of fire fighting training/burns pits

Fire fighting foam that is still used today contains the chemicals, private and military

I gonna take a wild guess here or maybe I'm not, but there might be some really nasty shit showing up in drinking water...use carbon filter water my friends.

I will double check it. The friend that recommended this set to us is pretty watchful on all that kind of stuff.

I actually have meetings about every 3 weeks about these chemicals and we will be spending millions this year

So my wife heated up something in the microwave tonight. After she took it out we heard this humming noise. It was like the microwave was on but not as loud. The light was off and all that. Open the door and the noise goes away. Close the door and it starts the noise again. Put a Pyrex measuring cup with 1 cup of water in it and closed the door. It was not in there long and I checked on it and sure enough the water was already steaming hot. The microwave is built in and I could smell what was like a circuit board smell but not a burning odor. I found the breaker for it and proceeded to take the trim piece off and everything else to remove it since its built into a cabinet. A little good news is that it was plugged in and not hardwired. Unplugged it and the entire microwave was hot.

Now I am shopping for a new one.

Should of emptied the house and went house shopping.

As much as I joke about it I dont think that would be best. However I did find a 1.5 acre lot today on a stock pond outside of Brock. The neighborhood has 2 access points to the Brazos. For the price range I am looking at I could get the lot and build a house with a shop.

I like having smart fiends. The thing is that after messing with the breakers tonight it does not appear my box is up to code so an electrical fire may cause some red flags with the insurance.

Hmm I wonder what a real estate professional would say about a house you have only lived in for a few years having electrical problems.

Its not electrical problems since everything is fine. The issue I found with the breaker box is that it appears I do not have a main shut off switch for everything. I could be wrong and maybe something was not labeled but I would rather not have everything burn and loose it to find out the insurance wont cover it.

Depends upon the issue and what was disclosed a the time of the purchase. :) I have one deal right now where the house should be burned down - Mold test on Thursday.
