Nice! You've been a busy beaver! Did you go to trade schools to get certified? Or just field experience with some book studying?

That's all I am now as well too. Such is life.

Did some research and was happy to find replacement parts for my mom's 1-1/4" aluminum pole that we've had forever. Replaced the locking collar and handle. I left the original locking spline/insert (dunno the name) since it was fine. You have to cut the old one out and glue the new one in which was more work than I wanted to do last night.

Worked with my dad and took the test. They are not too hard. This spring I am hoping to get my PE license as well, not looking forward to that one

Those look awesome! Wish mine had that under the crappy laminate. But it was all carpet until they put the laminate in.

Awesome. Supposed to be in the 20s the next few nights and my heater wont run more than 2 minutes without tripping the breaker.

Edit: Easy fix. Stupid ass installers didnt tighten down the connections on the wires running from the main breaker in the garage to the unit in the closet.

Didnt fix the problem. It made it all day and then tripped again. I took the covers off and double checked all the connections and everything appears to be the way I left it. Reset the breaker and it's running fine now. Moved my space heater from the garage to the bedroom in case it trips again in the middle of the night. My dad is stopping by on his way home from work in the morning to check it out. Maybe his HVAC license and electrical license will find something I havent.

Well if they didn't bother to tighten the screws down in the panel then there's a good chance they didn't tighten something else down on the heater... That sucks to hear @balakay

Well the original wire I found loose was on the heater itself. Pulled the cover off the panel this morning and sure enough the exact same wire was loose at the other end. Went through and tightened everything in the panel while I was in there. All is good now, knock on wood.

The worst thing about having a lot of field experience before taking a test is that generally the test answer and the field answer are different. When I took my National EMT-B license the instructor said she let me have a few passes because she saw I was using a solid process but was not the by the book. I had some of the same problems later with my IT classes and now again with studying for some certifications.

Got off the rest of week starting in 2 more hrs. Ive got until 8am Friday to demo my chimney and two walls in my basement. Wish me luck on the chimney. If I don't post come Monday morning I'm dead on the side of my house lol

Wrap a chain around the base of the chimney and yank it with your truck.. oh nevermind... disregard that idea. LOL :D

Close. Brought home a demo chipping hammer from work. Got on the roof and started at 7:30am....F&c*ing thing doesn't even hammer/work. Typical at my job sadly. I started demo by hand and got it below the roof line quick. Then it started freezing rain/sleet. With my deadline of 7am tomorrow looming and being 100% certain it was not tied into the house I grabbed 50' of 30k strap and pulled it over with the Subaru. Getting the area cleared in the wet snow sucked but shes done and I'm inside eating lunch then demo in the basement starts. Where that door is Ill be infilling that then framing for two large windows. Same size as the POS above the AC unit - thats also being replaced. Then the house gets resided. I really haven't done anything in 10+ years and now it's time to get this shit done.

Get you an asbestos mask, that house is old
