That's because no code writer could ever dream of a fix like that, show me in the Texas code for a residential house.
But my plumber I sit next to said "No, it's not to code...but it'll work". He said next time to use a no-hub coupling next time if you have the space for it (which you don't have in your case). That's because no code writer could ever dream of a fix like thatBut my plumber I sit next to said "No, it's not to code...but it'll work". That's MUCH better! And since you covered up your hole, no one will ever check to see if the pipe behind the wall is up to code![]()
Schedule 40 drain pipe, Texas residential repair, house on septic, and not located within a mud dist or under any city ordinances.
now think hard about that quote even it’s not Texas Plumbing code, “smooth interior”
Now think about what I exactly did to retain that smooth interior and kept it to be smooth inside that existing pipe?
Show me where that patch is not approved, that maintained continuous smooth interior?
If you were to that cut section out and replace it, think about that coupler joint, the pipe will no longer retain a smooth interior. oh...

Same here!I must have been confused (long week) ~ I was posting the code in reference to the flex pipe.
I would of just sealed the hole with PVC glue![]()
