There must've been around 2-3 million $$$ in used equipment around the property. This guy had every brand and type of tractor made except Kubota. He had John Deer's, Case, International, etc... just lying around either broken down or parted out. He even had firetrucks and other oddball stuff that makes you wonder what he did or was planning on doing with it. I stopped taking pics of all of it after awhile because I got tired of it

There was dozens of Fords, Chevys, GMC and Dodge trucks just lying around. It was insane. It's still hard to believe how much is out there.

Not to mention at least 10 18-wheelers just lying there.

He had about two dozen of these trucks out there. Ford, GMC, Chevy or Dodge.

Pretty slick! At my wife's grandmothers place they have a 1940's truck with a big ass tree growing through the back half of it. I'll try to find a photo of it.

I doubt it. And that orange 67 Chevy was parted out. The only thing left was the shell. The majority of the stuff left is now home to generations of mice.

My boss told me last week I had to take most of this week off. I had 31 hours of PTO to use or lose. So I chose to take it and ended up going to Glen Rose today. There was some kind of cross country thing going on so I had to dodge runners to find parking at the State Park. It was relaxing to get out there once I did. I forgot how much the Paluxy reminds me of the hill country. I found a couple of good spots and had what would have been a new personal record bass on a fly. I had it within a couple of feet of the rock ledge I was standing on and it spit the hook. Anyway here are just a couple of pictures from today.

What time were you in town? I was working in my office all day and would have enjoyed an excuse to get out for a bit.

Thanks. That sunfish was the first catch of the day and it put up more of a fight than most of the bass I caught. The one that spit the hook was probably in the 3-5lb range. I did get a good look at it and was about 18-20". At one point it had my 6wt rod doubled over and the reel screaming.

I may try fishing over near work sometime this week or next. From what I hear some of the best bass fishing in the area is just a mile or two from the office.
