As per the "recommendations" the only thing you are suggested to avoid are any species of catfish. I don't feel so bad, as I don't catch fish much more often than I do... So the few I might eat I doubt will do anything long term. Lol

I heard your only supposed to eat one fish per month out of these waters...

So you're saying there's a chance!
Yeah... That's more than I catch, so I'm good.

Ok, apparently we are both right. I looked it up, and as per TPWD there is a line that crosses the bay. North of it, basically eat nothing. South of it, don't eat the catfish. The line is from Red Bluff Point to Five-Mile Cut Marker to Houston Point. After looking at this, I probably won't be eating much fish from the bay... Just the stuff I catch south of Galveston.

It's a work weekend at the lease this weekend so I went to my storage unit and grabbed my 3wheeler to haul crap around. Pulled the starting rope long enough to get blisters and still no dice. So I dropped the bowl on the carb, which smelled something like varnish and the float didn't even drop. FML... I pulled both jets and they were full of gelled up crap. Finally got them cleaned out and manually worked the float long enough I felt like I was helping the damned thing masturbate before it moves freely. Put it all back together and it started on the 3rd pull. Feeling a bit accomplished, but I'm fairly sure I'm going to buy a $20 Chinese carb off the web as a backup. Everything I've read says they bolt in and run great.

And yes, I know it was all my fault for leaving the fuel on and not running the fuel out of the carb. Before storage. I just didn't think the fuel would varnish up like that after only 4 or 5 months.

It can and it will gell thst fast, is it a Honda? If so just go get a junk carb off a fourtrax 300 and rebuild it. Best advise is to shut off the petcock and either drain the bowl or run it till it dies. I hate all of my carbed ATV s seems like every time I want to use one something needs to be tinkered with on the carb. Thank god the new ones are EFI

Yup... It's a 1985 Honda death machine. Thanks for the heads up on the fourtrax carb
