Got a little fishing in this morning. Not a bad day coming off the back side of a cold front. I started with this 10 pound cat that hit a finesse worm. Was using light spinning tackle so this was a challenge on 8 pound test.

My buddy landed this 5ish pounder right after.

My best bass of the day.

Fished for a little yesterday. A few small redfish and lost a big trout at the boat. Gonna mess with tarpon on tuesday.

I found a pond near the house and saw a few good bass and a dozen or so carp that looked to be 2.5' or bigger. I need to get a 8wt set up so I can throw something bigger than foam bugs. I just got a few of these. I'm always amazed by the different colorations.

When I'm fishing for dinner I'll start out fishing for a couple of blue gill then switch tackle and use them for bass or catfish.
