Picked this up a while back. Aaron had it for over a year and gave it back to me a couple weeks ago in a few pieces lol I put it back together and got it pumping. They're normally around $100 at NT last I checked but I got it on Black Friday for around $60. I had already been through a couple if the hand pumps and we have these at work and I really like them. So I couldn't pass up $40 off. I highly recommend it.

Nice score. Hand pumping those things sucks.

I used my new dewalt chisels today. Man they are sharp, cut through everything like butter. Only complaint is the handles are a little thick so you can get as vertical or close to the door jamb as I'd like to.

Never used it. Looks interesting though. Wonder if its that much better than the normal anti-spatter gel you dip the torch in.

From what I was reading on a welding forum it was supposed to be way better than the gel.

Same here, I do 90% flux core welding. Just easier.

I shattered my vise the other day knocking out the bushing from my LCA's. I had to run and pick one up so I could finish and get my truck back together.

Old one.

New one made by Irwin. Not amazing but its def better that the old one.

Just don't hit it with a hammer. China stuff. I had one of those and as soon as I used it as an anvil I broke it. Good for clamping (am I the only one with Futurama running though there head at this point... Clamps!) but don't beat on it.

I've already smacked the shit out the new vise and its held up. I told my stepdad we have around 80 more days to beat the hell out of it and return it to home depot. lol

Well good luck, I had the same vise from Home Depot. It cracked.. granted it was probably 2 years later. But its first 23 months was pretty low-key... "hey you,... yeah you in the blue... hold this.. hold it tight... thank you." :) But it cracked when I started to really use it. It's made from a cast metal which I'm told can be welded with the proper rod and technique. None of which I possessed. :)

cast steel is easy to weld, its cast iron that's a bitch to weld. Requires high nickel content rods and lots of per heat/post heat.
