Well I got the 2x3x.25 angle welded into the trailers frame rails. What a PITA! It took 3 of us about 6 hours or so to knock it out. Basically had to use large Bessy clamps and a Hi-Lift and work the angle into the frame rails a foot at a time. Took turns welding and moving clamps since there was a lot of both going on. Since the trailer had been broken it was far from straight, and was warped. On one side we actually had to make 3 slices in the original frame to allow it to bend back where it needed to. Then we burned it all in. Even welded up my broken fenders. So I'm confident that its 2x as strong as it was (probably more) and its somewhat straight... well its not shaped like a noodle any more. Once I get some brakes on it I'll have no worries pulling the old Yota. I do believe I'll be working on the tongue though, cutting off some bent shit and welding on a new one and also installing a 5000lbs dolly jack. The one thing I didn't get to do was wire it up though, hopefully tonight I can do that.
