What have you done to your ride lately?

What did you do with your special order sliders?

I think maybe pledge will shine those tires, and repel any new dust from forming on them. Just be careful about getting it on the tread. It will slip around like you are driving on banana peels!

The sliders went on Rob's Creampuff if I'm not mistaken.

LOL... you guys would LOVE me when I clean my truck then. My sidewalls & 1st row of tread are Louisiana marsh oily.

I keep the shiny side up and try to keep it shiny.

Speaking of slipping. I have a lot of work to do. I need to try to get my front skid plate back on, until I can get some new ones ordered. Need to try to get some more clearance up front for the tires, and need to order some new leaf packs. Mine are shot.

I better get to work.

Looks like you already found the pic.

Man those wide KM1s may look cool, but they are loud as hell and vibrate like crazy on the highway.

It was weird that they looked off camber after we made the switch (guess it doesn't matter since you have lifetime alignment)

A bed full of slightly used E class 315 Duratracs off of a Hummer (for free) compliments to David Tarantino from TW for the tires, alignment, and rear brakes lines (I didn't have crescent wrenches).

I have plenty of room to cut down and put on my mudflaps so they will go back on to stop the boulders from whacking my fenders

Well, bought a roller fairlead for my winch, picked up some poly rollers and going to take off the aluminum fairlead... Also picked up most everything I need to get legal with my plates... License plate dealio to go on the roller fairlead and a set up to attach to my tailgate... I guess the only other thing I could think about is some mud flaps and some covers for my lightforces and I would be able to withstand a pelting from the local CHP officer!!! :) Man it's a bitch getting old and thinking about how not to get hassled for no reason!! :)

And the funny thing is I haven't gotten pulled over in years (with exception of a speeding ticket 2 years ago for getting caught flying the M3). Tinted windows on the other cars, no license plates etc... I think I am just finding an excuse to do something to the truck.

Thinking about a roof top tent and setting it up so that I can't see out the back window!!! :) Went on a trip with a group of 4rnrs and fjs that had them... they are pretty sweet!!!

Which model are you thinking about getting, Murph? I've been looking too & trying to figure out if the Eezi-Awn is really worth the cash over the Roof-top-tent and others...

RTT's are way cool! Eezi-Awn is a great brand and highly recommended on Expo. I thought it would be cool to mount on on the back of the Taco (almost at the roofline to allow usage of the bed)... but I'd like to have some sort of AC unit to cool it. Down here it's just miserable to camp in the summer without some sort of AC. I think in the meantime I'm gonna pick up an oversized Tent Cot and use it. Not as swanky as a RTT, but you can setup fast (well much faster than my Mountain Hardware 3 man tent) and I've seen them mounted on roofs. Land Rover guys do it a lot.

Tried to put the roller fairlead on but no such luck! Have to plasma cut a hole out of the bumper - otherwise the rollers would be the new leading edge of my bumper. Now I have to flip the winch 180° and cut a new ~10" x 1.5" between the top winch holes! - Come to think of it, I could use the grinder!!!! :) :) Get it done now instead of later!!!

Oh I did get to cover some scratches - by mounting my license plate holder and license plate on my tailgate - much better!!! :)

Finally finished sanding my bumper tonight and brought it inside to get ready for some primer. I haven't touched the tire gate yet.

When I went out with the 120 guys, 1/2 of them had an ARB and another guy swore by these http://cartopcamper.com/index_files/PolyCotton_2_Person_Roof_Top_Tent.htm Prices are reasonable!

Sean, I love the idea of the A/C!!! That would be smokin'

I've been looking at the small portable AC units, my thought was to mount it below the tent in the bed and then feed the cool air up into the tent. Problem is getting it up into the tent. Then I found this. http://cozywinters.com/shop/dog-house-heater-ac.html They sell a non digital version for about $150 less. Mount that below the tent, run the lines up through the floor. It only requires 3.6 amps, so I would think that a very small Honda or Yamaha inverter style generator could power it all night. In the winter it could heat the place... although thats not as important to me.
