Looks familiar.I am waiting in the OEM outers from Toyota of Dallas. Plan to install them this weekend.
Just curious because it is supposed to get chilly again next weekend and I was doubting that you would work in sub50 degree temps in the garage.

Exactly.. maybe even 68-71. AND.. the beer has to be close to 32.
But I did hang out in the garage last night and watch TV for 3 hours or so. Just sitting there and not moving around much, was warm enough.
That's what I'm doing in my garage right now. I'm waiting for the RTV to dry on my new CV boot.
Also did the 22re thermostat bypass circuit mod last night (drill 2 holes in the T-stat). This is supposed to fix the rebounding temp issues:
Upon startup, the truck gets REALLY hot
then the t-stat opens and it cools, but too quickly
so the temp drops
then spikes again, but not quite as high as the first time.

Hmm.. thats odd. I never saw that with my 85 22re nor my 91 22re. Weird shit man. Sounds like you got it nailed though.
1 small hole, about 3/32" is all it took to keep mine at consistent temps.
So you RTV'd it obviously.Did you do both ends?
Hey Michael, so how long did it take to do them? Minus waiting for RTV to dry.
