I did buy a new main battery for the Taco. The Platinum is still good after 7 years but it is down a few volts. So I picked up a new X2 Power battery (same design and mfg as the platinum) from batteries plus. But fuck it's a little bit bigger so the mounts won't work. Guess I'm driving the 81 to work tomorrow. Need to buy some longer battery tie down bolts. Then build a new mount for it.

Group 65.. same exact specs as the Platinum I pulled out. Although the brackets don't fit.. the platinum seems to be a bit smaller. So I need to fab up some mounts today after work. I was going to get a group 27, but I think it would be too tall.

The top cap is about 1/4" wider from front to back. Otherwise it's almost identical.

Ordered a bluetooth ODB2 attachment and bought the Torque app for my phone this morning. The attachment should be here on Saturday.
