I washed the first two layers of dirt on my truck. Yup. It's still blue. Or at least what's left of the paint.
And my diehard battery did exactly that. Died...fucking hard. I cant get it to hold a charge longer than 5 minutes. I'm going to pick up a platinum tomorrow and I'm going to probably extend my battery cables to make it fit.

OE gave out in Oct 2010 and was replaced with a junk Diehard. Yeti has a decent battery in it.
But... I bought a marine Platinum on the deal below & that's sitting in my garage at the moment. It'll probably go in the Tacoma...

I only had to extend one OEM battery cable. Everything fit but I extended the positive cable that goes into the fuse box to appease my worries about it being too taunt. Also had to buy some new battery mounts to hold it down.

I forgot yo add that I relocated the ground wire to the front so the stock OEM cable would fit.
Yeah, my thought was idler pulley too. I'll lube the Alt bearing, but in my experience those things don't give much warning before they just sieze.
What sucks is that those damn things cost about $70. Any consequence to letting it just chirp for awhile?
