What have you done to your ride lately?

I have heard this was coming. I made it almost 6 years without getting my motorcycle inspected.

So you get it insp now, go to the DMV and buy 3yr reg sticker if they are still offering them, granted you want to keep your bike 3 more yrs.

Ordered EBC pads and rotors. I'm pretty sure the break right stuff is starting to fail/wear out. Gonna replace everything when I swap out my CV boot.

My Powerstops are still working great. No issues at all. I'm not towing a lot any more though.

I went back to EBC far sooner than I had hoped. I guess I should slow down off road. :o

I've had the DS CV out twice since installing the ECGS bushing to try to fix an oil leak. Replaced the oil seal yesterday & it doesn't seem to leak resting, but it looks like it's slinging when in motion. Frustrating.

Have you polished the mating surface of the axle stub? Also, if you have a bore-scope (I have a cheap $60 one from HF), check for small tears on seal. In the past during more anal days, I used to fill the splines with grease in hopes that I wouldn't put a micro tear in the seal.

Had a stick poke though my radiator. Had to temp fix it to get back from the ranch and now waiting on the replacement.

How much was the replacement? Rock auto?

In addition to my comments above, a little dye-chem on the mating surfaces. Install stub end, turn a few times and see what kind of witness marks you see.

I try to polish my mating surface a few times a week. I've found that a nice tight vagina works best. lol

I can feel them slipping pretty bad. Driving in traffic is interesting now.

Those front diff seals are a total pain in the dick. I think I replaced my passenger side one 3 or 4 times to get it to stop leaking. The key is to not press it too far into the diff or else it will just leak all day. Flush for the drivers side(-0.0177 to 0.0177 in.) and some weird ass # for the passenger stub tube seal (0.1890 to 0.2284 in). Numbers taken from the FSM.

Well now knowing that, I got lucky as hell mine didn't leak when I replaced it with the diff bearing.

My bet is that it's your wheel bearings

Knowing Tacoma's I would say that's probably always it. lol :( but I'm not sure that's it. I just replaced both sides ~25k miles ago.
