well I figure 14 ga is plenty big enough for a solar panel. It's basically trickle charging a battery. How big of a panel did you go with? My 85 watt panel, assuming zero loss, would only push 7 amps at full tilt boogie sun-light. So in real world its like 5.5 amps.

Oh and after reading the details, its rated to 20 amps. Plenty!

So I installed this yesterday on the inner. I'm not recommending anyone else install it yet. It doesn't fit the triangle shape of the axle and I'm not sure if its going to leak or yet.

Well I have bad news for my install as well. Got the skidplate off, diff drained, pulled the passenger side axle and disassembled it then discovered that the inners won't work. The High Angle boots are far too big. The inner diameter is about 3.5" and the outer diameter of the 930 CV boot face is about 2.5". So thats a no go. The OEM boot has triangular shaped cutouts and moldings so its a no go as well. So I have a hover truck at the moment. I'll call RCV on Monday and see what they have. In hindsight I should have called them to begin with. I also noticed that at one point I must have overextended the shafts and it bent the inner mounting flange. Not really bad.. I'll try to bend it back or just leave it.

Well fuck. Mine just got here today. I guess I'll try them out anyway and see what happens since one of mine that needs rebuilding is already off the truck.

I ordered the same panel, I measured almost 8amps on full sun, I didn't know how big the wire is, just thick shielding I guess, but appears to work since you cut into your cables

Looks like the bars on my rack are costing me more amps that I thought. IIRC I never got 8 amps out of it. Thats great.

I think I got 18 volts... but its been a few years since I did any testing.

Should be fine the 930 joints that RCV uses have some abnormal dimensions compared to the OEM shafts

Yeah Blake you'll be fine. The 930 inners are just a smaller diameter boot.

Put these on Sunday. For anyone looking, Moog is the only ones still selling greaseable links. Deeza changed theirs to non-greaseable recently and most parts houses say they are... they aren't.

Looks like hover truck will sit in the garage a bit longer. Due to the weather, every fucking part I ordered is delayed due to weather. Thank goodness I paid extra for speedy delivery

Compression tested the 4R & they all are hitting about the same. Going to replace the O2 sensor the try to fix the bog I've got when stepping into the throttle. If that doesn't work, I'll pull the injectors & have them cleaned

Replaced a cracked vent visor on the Tacoma. Uploading a how-to onto TW for that now if anyone wants it

My rear vent visors are floppy. I've been waiting for them to fly off going down the hwy.

Well I just order stuff solely for the tracking #'s, gives me something to watch as it moves so slightly you might have missed something.

I'm looking into writing a book or two, "The Climate city exchange of Sean's ice chest" or "What ammo you talkin about Willis?"

Got a little over zealous with the plasma cutter and blew a gash in my 14 bolt tube, who would have thought the tubes were so thin its only 3/8s thick maybe less. Calling it quits before I destroy anything else today

Fuck fuck fuck... RCV boots came in today. They are too big.. or they install differently than the original boots that came on them. These are fucking huge.. they might fit over the entire CV vs just on the boot flange. I don't like that idea because there really isn't a flange to clamp onto at that point. Just the edge of the boot flange where it mounts to the CV housing. But the upside is that they are soft neoprene and the also fit on the outers in replacement of those stiff ass OEM boots. So either way I'm keeping them.. just need to figure out the inners. Maybe a second set of these... or ? I was really thinking they would be something like what it came with.. similar to these. http://www.rcvperformance.com/product-details.aspx?sku=336-4A
